Massive Attack Massive Attack

I swear that it's not my intent to continue posting items that make it look like I'm trying to inspire envy (especially since it looks like I'm trying to inspire envy in one person in particular).

But I'm REALLY excited! I just bought tickets to DJ Shadow & Massive Attack at the Greek Theatre (???!?!) in Berekeley. I'm not sure about that venue for them, or the fact that the GA seats are lawn seats, but I can't wait to see this show.

So, uh, anybody want to join us? ;-`)

Possibly, yes. I need to research.

Also, the Greek Theater is awesome. I saw Dead Can Dance there many years ago, Oingo Boingo before that, even. It has built-in seating, so I'm not sure what "lawn seats" mean, but hey, whatever. Probably just means first-come first-served.

Aaaargh!

We have tickets to Cirque du Soleil's Delirium that night. Gah. I've been a fan of DJ Shadow for years....

D'oh! C'est la geurre.

I've actually only (relatively) recently become aware of DJ Shadow, but I love Massive Attack, and look forward to both (as well as hold out hope for some collaboration. Squee!)

I like Massive Attack. But DJ Shadow introduced me to a whole world of music I'd not known before.

We saw REM there ... recently. I don't have a problem with the venue per se, but it's larger than I would have expected, but I can see it might work.

"Lawn Seats" mean that you sit on the grass. Yes, first come/first served. So we'll be there as early as we can with a big blanket.

And we've already covered my insane, lusting envy of you for seeing Oingo Boingo there.

Wow.

Don't worry, I didn't get to see the whole brass band, this was just after he let them go.

Well, ok, that mitigates it, but only slightly. You have to understand, Oingo Boingo figured heavily in my introduction to a world of music I hadn't imagined at a very formative time of my life. It would have just been too much to have been able to see them.
